                          2015

"We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time."
-T.S. Eliot

The end! These two words have two approaches, but I want to see it as an optimistic one. 2015 was a year where I met people- good and bad, I loved and I hated, I befriended and I snubbed. There were times where I was in despair and at times I was hopeful, but ultimately all the paths have led me to where I'm right now. Not as a result of what happened to me but what I chose to be. At many stages I was asked a question, "how's life?" and I had simply one answer: "Life is beautiful." I didn't think twice when I said this. I had the same reply when I was in my worst phase because one thing I have learnt is to be positive. There were times when love was going away from me, almost out of my reach but I had trust and knew how to bring that back: sometimes unsuccessful and at times successful and here I'm because I selected the appropriate. My existence gave me a choice between pain and nothing, I picked the former one owing to the fact that life needs experience and pain has an impression of its own. Friendship being tested was a new challenge I faced but again it was worth it. Family, friends, love, responsibility, opportunities, decisions, future and what not make 2015 for me. I believe I'm back to where I was in the beginning of the year. It is said that change is inevitable but I feel no change as such in a year's time, though my attitude, beliefs have modified. They are not fully established as there are many possibilities of them to change as I engage myself in other discourses of life. The future is still uncertain but not unclear. There are things to explore, my game of life has not yet ended with this "The end" but has taken a new turn towards I don't know what. Maybe tomorrow will tell me! I believe events, experiences, values define a person. And 2015 has been a definition of life to me where I came across almost everything. I saw people change, I saw feelings turning into vapour, I saw families tearing apart, I saw good and I saw bad. And this constitutes to my year 2015. So as the quote by Eliot in the beginning of my piece says, I agree as after 365 days of my life I'm back to where I began from. I bade goodbye to 2014 in a similar fashion with the same ecstasy and elation and delight.

The time has flown without any effort. A year has passed by and I have reached nowhere. There's a lot to build and rebuild. Life has just begun and the works are not over yet. There's a lot more. It is just an end to another year not life.

Sure everything is ending, but not yet!!!!
